WOW.......Amazing Art and Architecture

What fun it has been swapping out these beautiful cards for November's Art & Architecture Swap. Each artist has interpreted the theme a little differently, which has meant that all of the ATC's are unique & special. Abby, from Melbourne has worked her magic in Sepia & soft Seawater blues with scenes from Venice, Melbourne & around the world; Jenene from South Gippsland Victoria, Australia, has created some amazing pieces using Australia's famous artist, Pro Hart, (famous for a 'mixed media collage' he made out of food from the refrigerator on a particular brand of non-staining carpet) as inspiration. Liz from Queensland, Australia has created some interesting collage compositions using imagery & tied them together with a glossy coat on top. Marion & Ute from Germany have added their own flavour as well. Ute's 'rusty' Il Duomo (in Florence) is superb.....I couldn't part with it, sorry people, it is now in MY collection. Marion created some interesting ATC's expanding the theme out to cover time & out world view. WELL DONE EVERYONE............swaps will be leaving Melbourne in a couple of days.

Titanic Has Sailed

Titanic has sailed out of my studio tonight & is on it's way back to the lucky reciepients. This is not a new topic for me as I hosted a swap on this topic last year, however I am always amazed at how clever people are and how differently they can interpret/represent a topic........these cards are from the very talented Jenene in Victoria, Australia, & they are very clever. She has used all sorts of bits 'n' bobs to make her creations 3 dimensional. Well Done Jenene.

JANUARY SWAP - The Objects of My Affection Swap

FORMAT: ATC size 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches or 64 x 89mm
SWAP: 5 for 4 returned
DESCRIPTION: This can be general descriptions, not necessarily totally personal (some examples could be: chocolate; fast cars; dogs; cats; old things, rusty things, colours, places in the world;the beach, etc) I guess the whole idea is that it is something that you like, but not so personal that it has no appeal to swap out to complete strangers. The cards posted here are from my 'Me, Myself, I' series, just some ideas of how you could take this theme, not ones that I am going to swap out. I made this series for my children to keep as keep sakes about me, so they are describing things about me, where as in this theme, we are concerntrating on the 'thing'. Let me explain a little, above on the card with the camera, the title is VISUAL, I am describing my communication style, telling about me, where as for this topic, I probably would have concentrated on the camera (DEFINITELY one of my favourite things!!..........I am rarely seen without it!!), telling about the 'object of my affection' Email me if your not gettin' it!
